Generally, as the amount of SAN component increases, the strength and rigidity of ABS will also increase; if the rubber content increases, the strength, hardness, heat resistance and rigidity of ABS will decrease. In short, this material can be divided into injection molding grade and extrusion grade, and then divided into medium, high and extra high impact resistance grade, there are other grades such as high heat, electroplating and fireproof grade.
Generally speaking, ABS is a hard and tough material that has high impact resistance and low water absorption even at low temperatures. It is a good insulator and its electrical properties are not affected by humidity. Usually made of transparent or translucent color, plastic parts have luster, stable size and high mold surface covering ability. The surface is not easy to wear, but the aging resistance is low. Better heat resistance and impact strength than TPS; better warping modulus than PP.
