Two-color chopping board plastic injection mold

A chopping board is a common home appliance, often made by wood. However, the plastic one is now a popular choice for customers. The wooden chopping board is natural, but is relative heavier, not easy to clean, and easy to breed bacteria which take time to clean and sunburn. Adopting over-moulding is a relatively traditional way to produce two-color chopping board. It takes 2 plastic injection moulds and 2 injection molding machines to manufacture products.  It will cause extra production time and cost for manual work- taking out semi-finished product to the second injection machine. The deformity of finished products is higher due to the instability of difference materials and the shrinkage.  However, it is still a good way to produce products with larger size and market demand is lower.

Two-color injection has been widely used in 3C, home appliance, daily necessities, automotive field……etc. It is a way to produce two-color products with 1 plastic injection mould and 1 injection molding machine that helps save time, cost and space. The first color injects and the rotary table rotates for the second color injecting, it makes the shrinkage better controlled and results in nicer product appearance and lower deformity. Though the initial investment in two-color injection is higher, it is still a worth investment in the long run.
